The comfortable bed ensured a great night's sleep. The breakfast in the well-presented dining area was exceptional. Spent New Year’s Eve at a lovely pub that provided a beautiful room. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was spotless and had a modern bathroom. Breakfast had a great selection of cooked food. The location was fantastic as there was a lively restaurant for lunch and evening, and the breakfast was calm, perfect to start the day. Would recommend this place!

Parking was an issue because of limited spaces and there was some traffic noise due to it being situated along a busy main road. , they need to provide proper coffee in the morning because instant coffee was not nice.

I recently stayed at a lovely inn in a charming village called Thorpe-le-Soken. The Rose and Crown provided a warm and friendly atmosphere, with modern and beautifully appointed rooms. The attention to detail by the proprietors was outstanding, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location was perfect, with nice walking trails and a short drive to the beach. The pub downstairs served delicious food and had a great atmosphere. I would definitely book a stay here again. The staff even went above and beyond by promising to send back a forgotten scarf to our home address in Holland, which we really appreciated.

The location was perfect for us as it was super close to the coast, so we could easily escape to the sea for a refreshing walk. Plus, it was close to the Harwich international harbour where we had to catch an early morning ferry. The room was tastefully decorated, the bathroom was clean, and the staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, with generous portions. We also appreciated the easy entry system and the abundance of tea and coffee in the room.

We were disappointed that the village was quite quiet and lacked the little shops and cafes we had hoped for.

The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from, including instant coffee to start the day off right. The hotel's location in a friendly village with nice walking trails in the area was a added bonus.
