The hotel was a perfect base for our 3-day touring holiday of the Orkneys. the rooms were spacious, bright, and very clean. the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Marlene in the dining room. Free overnight parking at the ferry terminal was convenient. the comfortable beds, great food at the sister inn, and excellent service made our stay delightful.

Fantastic selection of rare whiskies and craft beers. The lounge is a tribute to Orcadian pioneers and a lively pub offers good chat and fun. Parking conveniently located 150m away.

I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel for a couple of nights. My room was beautiful and clean, making me feel valued and welcome. The food was fantastic, with a decent selection for vegetarians like me. The service was quick and the quality of the food was worth the price. Will definitely be staying here on my next visit.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. the location was superb, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, making it incredibly convenient for travellers like myself. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure that I had an enjoyable stay. The rooms, despite lacking a view, were spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh eggs and a variety of options to choose from. the value for money was exceptional, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Despite the noisy bar, the hotel's location was convenient for exploring Stromness and catching the ferry. We enjoyed taking leisurely walks around the charming town and found some great places to have lunch. The spacious room and comfortable bed provided a restful retreat after a busy day. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hearty breakfast gave us a good start to our day.

Our stay was marred by the excessive noise coming from the bar area, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep.

the location was fantastic, right in the heart of the town. It made exploring the area incredibly convenient. Secondly, the staff were friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout our stay. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the rooms, particularly the fabulous showers and comfortable twin beds. Lastly, the breakfast was simply delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from.

Best fish and chips we've had in Orkney! the batter was light and crispy and the portion size was generous. the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. Plus, the location was great – easy to find and close to the ferry and buses.

Worst aspects, however, were the noise. We had a room above the bar and it was very noisy until around 11 pm.
