I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Oak. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom and walk-in shower. The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The inn's quiet rural location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, yet it was still very close to Chichester. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

I recently stayed at Royal Oak for a few nights and it was fantastic. The room was well-equipped and comfortable, with great heating and water. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the on-site parking was convenient. The restaurant served delicious breakfasts and dinners, at a very reasonable price. it's a small, cozy pub/hotel that I highly recommend.

Lovely garden and cozy restaurant with fires.

We had a fantastic stay at a quiet and cosy country pub. the roaring fire in the bar area made it so cosy and inviting. the food, wines, and local ales were all first class, and the breakfast was particularly delicious. the staff, led by Nick, were brilliant and made our stay memorable. the delightful Blackberry Cottage had no trace of any damp as mentioned in another review. We cannot thank the team enough and will definitely be returning.

My recent stay at Royal Oak was fantastic. the staff went above and beyond by taking our dinner order over the phone when we ran late. the vegan options for dinner exceeded my expectations and the wine selection was great. the room was clean and comfortable, with luxurious bedding and a spacious bathroom. the friendly team made our stay memorable. the view from the residents' garden was stunning, making it the perfect spot to relax with a drink.

Great location and a warm welcome

We arrived at The Royal Oak and were greeted with a warm welcome, despite our late arrival. The staff kindly waited for us to check in, ensuring a smooth start to our stay. The location of the inn was excellent, with the Goodwood aerodrome nearby, allowing us to witness the beautiful vintage aircraft in action. Although we didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant, the delicious full English breakfast gave us confidence in the quality of the food. The only downside was the height of the shower head in our bathroom. As someone who is 5ft10, I had to crouch down a bit to fit comfortably. However, this minor inconvenience did not dampen our overall positive experience at The Royal Oak Inn. I would highly recommend this hotel for its great location and friendly service.

The rooms are luxurious, with sensational bedding and spacious bathrooms. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay. The breakfast options are varied and of high quality, served in a pleasant atmosphere.

Some minor maintenance issues were reported, such as loose toilet seats and non-functioning TV remotes.

For the price we paid, we got incredible value at this lovely inn. The room, Flint cottage, was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the garden area. The staff at Royal Oak were always friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
