stayed here after a great time in winchester and wow! the room was fantastic with beautiful decor and an amazing shower. had a delicious meal in the restaurant too. highly recommend this hotel and restaurant!

We had a fantastic stay at the Running Horse! The room was comfortable and stylish, with nice extras like a fan and coffee machine. The location was great, just a short drive from Portsmouth. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The breakfast option could have been improved with a better continental selection.

Booked a mix of double and superior rooms for a family occasion. All rooms were located outside with a covered walkway. Nicely decorated and well-equipped. Staff were welcoming. Restaurant had excellent food and service. Close to Winchester, easy access via park & ride. Great value for money. Will return.

the location was perfect for exploring the areas we wanted to visit. the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room provided us with independent access, which was great for coming back late. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast that really set us up for the day ahead. the newly added rooms were quiet and comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. We also appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere, making our stay even more enjoyable. we highly recommend the Running Horse for a wonderful stay.

Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, warm room. Eye drops kept in fridge, hot water provided during power outage. Excellent drinks and biscuits in-room, fresh milk available. Room had designer touches, spacious wet-room bathroom. Free parking on-site.

The food at Running Horse was delicious, and I loved having a balcony in my room. Despite a minor issue with the central light being too dim, the overall experience was great. The location was slightly off the beaten track, but it actually worked out well because I could easily return to the restaurant after sightseeing. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and had a great attitude. The prices for the room and restaurant were reasonable and exceeded my expectations.

The location was great, nestled in a quiet area near a local nature reserve. We loved wandering through the beautiful garden of the pub, and it was nice to have the option to relax outside of the main pub area. Our room was well-equipped and nicely decorated, with a big bathroom and convenient products. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was traditional and satisfying, with plenty of parking available. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely return.

The window latch in our room was broken, which was a bit inconvenient.

We stayed for one night and had eaten at an event, so we didn't require an evening meal. However, the food looked very appetising. The breakfast had a good choice and the full English breakfast I enjoyed was delicious and one of the best I've had; compliments to the chef. The four front of house members of staff who looked after us were excellent, pleasant, polite, proficient, and friendly. The inn has character and is in a lovely countryside setting. The accommodation in a separate building was clean and comfortable and provided well for our needs. There is a large car park attached. It was good value for money and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
