The location is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the countryside. the breakfast and dinner were a true delight. the portion sizes were huge and the quality of the food was fantastic. the staff were friendly and worked hard to ensure a perfect stay.

Although the room was comfortable, we could occasionally hear music from the bar, which was a bit annoying. Additionally, there was some inconvenience due to road closures in the area, but it was a small price to pay for such a beautiful location.

Stayed here for three nights during a business trip and was pleasantly surprised. the location was perfect, with easy access to local shops and restaurants. the room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed and a great view of the countryside. the staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready with a smile and happy to help with anything we needed. the breakfast was fantastic, with a range of options that catered to all tastes and dietary requirements.

The noise from the nearby motorway, which could be heard from our room at all hours of the day and night. Although this was not the hotel's fault, it did make it difficult to sleep at times.

I recently stayed at The Shady Oak and had an incredibly pleasant experience. The owner, Leon, was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Despite my late arrival due to train strikes, he went out of his way to pick me up from the station and even offered to drop me off at my meeting the next morning since there were no cabs or trains available. The service he provided was excellent, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The beautiful scenery surrounding the property added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. I highly recommend The Shady Oak for a memorable experience.

The hotel offers great value for money with its spacious rooms and beautiful views over the hills.

The food was excellent with plenty of choices and the portions were generous. The location was convenient with ample parking available. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the room despite being on a main road. It was also great to have footpaths nearby for evening walks.

The decor of the hotel was tired and in need of updating. the meal we had was not up to par - the steak was tough to chew and the chips were soggy.

We highly recommend the Shady Oak for a wonderful experience.
