Just returned from a delightful three-night stay at The Ship. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The highlight was definitely the amazing breakfast menu with delicious options like smoked haddock, scrambled eggs, and creme fraiche. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the location was perfect for exploring the historic city of Chester and the vibrant city of Liverpool. a fantastic experience!

The hotel had a great location alongside a beautiful river with plenty of wildlife around. the breakfast offered a wide variety of options and the bathroom was well equipped with toiletries and even hot chocolate and biscuits. the staff were friendly and helpful, providing an immediate response to any issues, like the faulty mixer tap.

Although the hotel provided polite and pleasant service, the absence of a manager made it feel less welcoming. However, this did not affect the overall experience.
