Absolutely MIND-BLOWING location by the river, peaceful ambiance, friendly staff, spacious room, free Wi-Fi.

Just stayed at a lovely hotel right on the river in York. the rooms were amazing, with great facilities. the BBQ facilities were even better in person! Would DEFINITELY stay here again.

the historic charm of the building, comfortable rooms with river views, and friendly, attentive staff stood out as highlights of my visit. the delicious food and variety of drinks available in the pub added to the enjoyable atmosphere. Though some minor improvements in cleanliness could enhance the overall experience, the positives truly overshadowed any negatives.

The free parking, friendly staff, and proximity to the park and ride were convenient. Despite some room issues, the relaxing atmosphere and nearby landmarks like York City Walls and York Castle Museum enhanced our family bonding time, making it a memorable experience.

The live music was lit, and the karaoke had us all feeling like superstars. the dance floor was always packed, and the cocktails were on point. We couldn't stop laughing at the comedy show – total vibe!

Just wish they had a late-night snack bar or food options for those midnight munchies after busting those moves at the disco!

The location of the hotel is ideal, right by the river and close to the center of York. The room we stayed in was lovely, with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. The staff provided great service, attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The breakfast options were delicious, with a variety of choices to satisfy different tastes. The view of the river from the hotel was breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the place.

The quaint Inn by the river Ouse offered a peaceful escape, with friendly staff and tasty pub food. my room was dusty in areas and lacked breakfast options upon arrival. Despite these setbacks, the clean and cozy bedroom provided a comfortable stay. The new management led to kitchen closures, impacting meal options, but the serene location made up for it. A pleasant stay overall, marred by minor inconveniences.

Stayed at Ship Inn by the river Ouse, a charming old stone pub with modern comforts. Loved the log fire, armchairs, and spotlessly clean room with fantastic river views. Friendly staff and great food and drink options, including local real ales and large portions of delicious fare. Enjoyed the river bus to York center on weekends. Ideal location with lovely walks nearby. Manager Carl and chef made our stay memorable. Planning to return for outdoor dining in summer.

For the price we paid, we got great value with a clean room, comfortable bed, and lovely views of the river and boats. The location was perfect, close to York and with free parking. The staff were friendly, chatty, and eager to make our stay enjoyable.

I had a fantastic stay at a charming inn just outside of a beautiful city. The pub had a cozy atmosphere with friendly locals and delicious, generously portioned food. The twin room was comfortable and the staff provided excellent customer service, going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. I especially appreciate Carl, who even gave us a ride into town when we couldn't find a taxi. I will definitely be returning to this hidden gem.

We had a lovely stay at the Ship Inn, with a room overlooking the river. the atmosphere was great and the staff made us feel welcome. the location was convenient, with a short drive to the nearby party venue and close to York. Free parking was readily available across the quiet road next to the River Ouse. Our room was clean, tidy, and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable two-night stay. the staff were friendly and helpful, both in the bar and with looking after the rooms. the free wifi in the bar and garden was a bonus. Breakfast was delicious and served promptly.
