We stayed at The Spinney for one night during the August bank holiday and had an unforgettable experience. The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, from the candle on my birthday pancakes to the surprise card and chocolates. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a fully stocked refreshment tray and a supply of toiletries in the en suite. The breakfast in the sunny conservatory was outstanding, with a wide selection of homemade options and locally sourced ingredients. The attention to detail and friendliness of the owners made us feel like part of the family.

The room amenities were top-notch, including ironing facilities, heating, and a well-stocked tea and coffee area. The service and housekeeping were impeccable, making me feel like I was at home. The beautiful garden area provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. this place gave me a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Inside, the place is beautifully decorated and exudes a sense of pride and attention to detail. the breakfast, with its delicious local produce and extensive menu, was a real treat. I cannot recommend staying here enough - there are truly no negatives to be found.

The Christmas decorations were lovely and really got us in the festive spirit. the staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any queries we had. Plus, the location was great - close to shops, restaurants, and attractions, making it easy for us to explore the area.

The room we stayed in was quite small and cramped. It was difficult to move around, especially in the bathroom where there was hardly any space to maneuver.

As longer term business travellers, we were impressed by the welcoming hosts and the personal touches such as fresh milk, homemade cake, and nice biscuits in our room. The decor was delightful and the room had everything we needed, including a sparkling bathroom with thoughtful extras like makeup remover tissues. The comfortable beds and soft bed linen ensured a good night's sleep. The breakfasts were exceptional, with delicious homemade bread and jams. The hosts, Jo and David, were friendly and made us feel at home, even remembering that we had attended a funeral and inquiring about it the next morning. The grounds of the guest house were beautifully maintained, making for a pleasant view.

the hosts, Jo and David, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. the bed was extremely comfy, and the breakfasts were excellent, with scrumptious pancakes and plenty of fresh fruit. I was especially pleased with how well they catered to my wife's coeliac dietary requirements in a discreet manner. the guesthouse was pristinely clean, and we enjoyed the homemade scones, jam, and fresh cream, as well as the cakes and bread pudding awaiting us in the snug each evening. I would definitely revisit Spinney when back in the area.
