The Stags Head Inn Porlock Weir is a warm and welcoming pub located in a beautiful village opposite a historic castle. The location is perfect, with plenty of cafes, shops, and attractions just around the corner. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. The rooms are quirky but lovely, with a sink in the room and a separate shower room just steps away. The food is delicious, and the breakfast is great.

After an exhausting 8-mile hike, I decided to stay near the pub located in a convenient spot between several different restaurants and the town centre. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful old inn in a charming village. The free upgrade to a family room was a nice surprise, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The locals and staff were very friendly, creating a great atmosphere in the pub. The breakfasts and evening meals were delicious. The location in Dunster was perfect for exploring Exmoor either on foot or by car. We didn't even need to use our car during our stay, as there were plenty of footpaths and bridlepaths to explore straight from the village. We would highly recommend The Stags Head and hope to return.
