We spent a weekend in a cozy hotel located in a beautiful riverside town. The restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes and the prices were reasonable. We also loved the fact that the hotel was close to many local attractions. The staff was friendly and the check-in process was smooth. On top of that, the room was clean and comfortable.

There were some negative aspects that impacted our stay. the net curtains were dirty and there were some odd noises coming from above our room the entire stay.

Best aspects were the hotel facilities, as it had a picturesque location right next to the river. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed sitting outside and having a drink by the river. It was also conveniently close to the shops and festival.

The Swan Hotel in Upton upon Severn is a fabulous choice for a stop-off between Portsmouth and home. The location alongside the River Severn is excellent, with two lovely beer gardens and an outdoor stage for live music. The old building has many interesting features, and the spacious bedrooms have comfortable beds and great bedding. The owner/manager and staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and the pub food is good.
