We got a fantastic room upgrade for our 2-day stay at Talbot in North Yorkshire. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even accommodating our unexpected addition of our little boy without any extra charges. The hotel's central location was perfect for exploring Malton, York, and the surrounding countryside.

The breakfast menu could be improved by ensuring that it is served hot, as we found the sausages, black pudding, and bacon to be stone cold. Other than that, our stay at Talbot was wonderful, and the front of house staff did their best to apologize for the kitchen's oversight.

The Talbot is a beautifully designed hotel with stylish décor. The staff are fantastic and the bar is lovely. The restaurant serves incredible food and the beds are super comfy. They also welcome dogs, which is perfect for families with 2 small kids.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and cheerful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The complimentary tea and coffee were also great, and I appreciated the book in the room that explained the hotel's history. The bed, covers, pillows, and bath were all comfortable, and the lighting and decor throughout the hotel added to the cozy ambiance. it was a classy and clean place to stay, and I highly recommend Talbot Guest House.
