The food at this hotel was absolutely delicious. the fish and chips were to die for, and my wife couldn't stop raving about the charred mackerel. We also enjoyed the great selection of drinks available, with a pint and a large glass of dry white wine perfectly complementing our meal.

the hotel seemed to be part of a chain/group, which was not what we were expecting from an independent and cozy local establishment. the bedroom and living area looked worn and the bed was uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Had a fantastic New Year stay here. the staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. the room was clean and spacious, with nice decor. the location by the river was picturesque, and we loved sitting on the bank with a glass of wine. the food was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the soup. a great experience and would highly recommend.

The rooms above the bar were quite noisy, and we could hear everything downstairs and next door. the portion size of the soup was quite small for the price.

That the shower facilities weren't up to par, with limited water drainage. Another issue was the noise from the kitchen fan, which disrupted our sleep throughout the night.
