The hotel is situated in a prime location, away from the main town center but close to a tourist attraction, providing easy access to places of interest. The rooms are spacious and clean, with big comfy beds and fluffy towels. The staff is friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to accommodate guests' needs. The breakfast is delicious and cooked to perfection, with a variety of options to choose from. the hotel offers nice views, including the River Usk and the Newport Transporter Bridge.

The shower head in the bathroom was not properly fitted to the wall.

The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. The room was beautiful, clean, and had a really comfy bed. The location was brilliant, just a short drive from the train station.

The friendly staff were helpful and informative. the hotel's location was convenient to the main tourist attractions. We also enjoyed the tasty breakfast offered every morning.

The carpets and furniture were dirty, and the sheets had holes. the bathroom had a mold and was not so clean.

As backpackers, we loved the highly economical prices, warm welcome, and comfy rooms at The Waterloo Hotel & Bistro. The beautifully decorated interior and unique turret on top made it impossible to miss. The "Un-four-seen" option on the menu allowed us to try new and exciting dishes, like liquorice ice-cream. The staff went above and beyond, even giving our car a jump start and calling for roadside assistance. The location was convenient, and the free Wi-Fi and secure parking added to the overall value. The hotel had character, a lovely bar area, and spacious rooms with great amenities like a large bath and reliable hot water.

They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and were always smiling and welcoming. I also appreciated the well-stocked rooms, with plenty of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. the free parking in a secure, gated area provided peace of mind and convenience.

Some areas of the hotel were in need of maintenance. the first room I was given had a leak in the bathroom, and although I was quickly relocated, the second room was quite cold and required an electric heater to keep it warm.

Had enjoyable stay, short taxi ride to town, easy train access to Cardiff, adjacent to transporter bridge, lovely staff, charming hotel.
