We had an incredible stay at this lovely, picturesque hotel by the Solway. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a heavenly shower. The hosts, Judith and Eric, were so welcoming and provided us with great recommendations for our itinerary. The peaceful location and stunning views made it the perfect spot for a quiet break. Highly recommended!

The breakfast offerings could have been improved slightly.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The warm welcome I received upon arrival made me feel right at home. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, and the views were absolutely lovely. I particularly appreciated the extra space provided by the sitting area. The shower room was beautifully done and the shower itself was both spacious and powerful. The breakfast served was amazing, and the staff took great care of me throughout my stay.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The stay was enjoyable, with a lovely and clean apartment. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, providing homemade shortbread and a nice breakfast. The property had a relaxing feel, with beautiful views and surroundings. Would love to return for a longer stay.

The value for money at Waterside Rooms was excellent, the room was clean and well-equipped. The location was stunning, with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff, Eric and Judith, were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like part of the family.

The only improvement I would suggest for the breakfast menu would be to offer a wider variety of options.

This apartment was absolutely perfect and I would have loved to stay for a little longer. Cosy, warm, exceptionally clean, and great hosts. The scenery and wildlife visible from the breakfast room window was great - we also popped out onto the waterside before breakfast to check out the incredible variety of birds on the Solway. The apartment has a private entrance into a living room with sofa bed, a little hallway with tea/coffee/homemade cakes and snacks. A luxurious shower room comes off the hallway and a large master bedroom also. You head upstairs in the morning into the host's open-plan kitchen/dining/living area for a truly delicious breakfast cooked to order by the lovely Eric and Judith. Would definitely stay again!
