I stayed at The Wellington Hotel in Howden for work and got a comfortable double room with two single beds. The beds were so cozy that I fell asleep immediately. The home-cooked meals were excellent, and the bar area was clean and tidy. The service was quick, with empty glasses cleared away promptly. The staff was friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate us. The venue was unpretentious and offered good value for money. Parking was easy, and the pub served delicious real ale. The location was great for visiting York Park and Ride Designer Outlet.

The room was outrageously hot upon arrival, and it took ages to cool down even with the window open wide.

As women travelling alone, we appreciated the good location in a pleasant historic town with a convenience store and bakery nearby. The private parking was quite big and made us feel secure. The atmosphere of the pub was wonderful, and we enjoyed the good selection of beers. The breakfast provided was decent and satisfying. we felt comfortable and safe during our stay.
