The hotel is conveniently located right in the centre, opposite the square in Middleham. The rooms, although a little tired, are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and the staff are friendly. Guests can also enjoy the lovely restaurant and bar areas. Additionally, there are good local pubs within walking distance and a chippy nearby.

The management's lack of a friendly and welcoming demeanor can be off-putting.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the market place in Middleham, providing easy access to different areas of the town. The room we stayed in was small but comfortable, perfect for a couples getaway. The bathroom was clean and adequate. The service provided by the manager and bar lady was exceptional, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast, although slow on the first morning, was redeemed with a delicious spread on the second morning.

No major complaints except the hot water took slightly longer to arrive in the bathroom. But this is expected from historic buildings, and it wasn't a significant issue.

This hotel is ideally located right on the square in the market place of Middleham, allowing easy access to all the village has to offer. The staff are attentive and nice, ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms are comfortable, especially the ones with a king-size four-poster bed and a view of the castle.

I recently stayed at a lovely hotel in Middleham for 3 nights. The location was great, right in the market place with views of Middleham Castle. The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel had a nice design and feel. The breakfast was delicious and served beautifully. The room was comfortable with a unique window that opened up onto the main square. a great experience!
