our stay at the inn in Carperby was fantastic! The staff were so helpful and accommodating, even providing a high chair and cot for our baby. They went above and beyond by preparing fresh food for us when the kitchen was closed. The location was great, with the castle and beautiful falls just a short walk away. We loved the cozy room and the delicious breakfast options.

the small single room was comfy and the wifi was great. the hosts were welcoming and accommodating, making our stay even better. the cooked-to-order breakfast was hot and tasty, and the atmosphere in the pub was homely.

The breakfast, included in the price, offers plenty of choice and includes locally sourced meat. The views from the rooms are stunning, with a view of the hills behind the inn.

I couldn't believe how comfortable and clean my room at the Wheatsheaf Inn was. The welcome from the staff was warm and friendly, and I immediately felt at home. Being a dog-friendly hotel, I was initially concerned about traces of dogs in the room, but there was no evidence whatsoever. The bar had an amazing selection of real ales and a variety of drinks to choose from. The food options were plentiful and every dish I tried was delicious. The breakfast menu offered a fantastic selection, including a mouthwatering Yorkshire breakfast. The location in a beautiful village with stunning views was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay.

The shower in our room was blocked and not checked after the previous guests. on two occasions, the bed wasn't made.

The prices were ridiculously expensive, especially for drinks, which ruined the overall experience. we were charged an extra fee for our dog, which we found unnecessary since she simply slept the whole time.
