We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The room we had, with its amazing view of the fells, was simply breathtaking. The room itself was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we could need. The hotel had thought of everything, from a DVD player to a well-stocked minibar. The staff were exceptional, from the welcoming reception staff to the cheerful bar staff. The breakfast, especially the continental options with fresh croissants and pastries, was delicious. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the Lake District, with stunning views and easy access to nearby Keswick and other attractions.

the whitbarrow hotel at whitbarrow village in troutbeck exceeded my expectations during this rest and relaxation. the spacious and comfortable rooms, well-equipped with a kitchenette and modern amenities, made me feel right at home. the location, surrounded by old cottages and a charming duck pond, added to the overall appeal. the on-site facilities, including a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and pool, provided the perfect way to unwind after a long day. the restaurant served delicious and reasonably priced meals, making it a convenient dining option.

Missed having a small shop on-site for forgotten essentials or a larger games room for kids.

I recently had a fantastic weekend away at a beautiful hotel in the Lake District. The room I stayed in felt like a luxurious penthouse, with a stunning view of the surrounding scenery from the patio doors. The staff were incredibly helpful and the service was top-notch. The hotel also had excellent facilities, including a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious food and be entertained by a talented musician. the location was convenient, with easy access to local shops, amenities, and even a nearby pub.

That the bed in the room I stayed in was a bit small, I would have preferred a king size rather than a double.

The hotel is located in a superb area, with easy access to the Lake District and its stunning scenery. It is also conveniently close to local shops, amenities, and the nearest pub. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, with incredible views of the fells. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast is delicious and the facilities, such as the swimming pool and spa, are clean and enjoyable.

It would have been even better if there was room service available.

The Ullswater Suite was spacious with a well-equipped kitchenette and its own balcony. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was easy to find and perfect for outdoor activities. The self-contained apartment was beautiful, with a lovely and clean kitchen facility and excellent room facilities. The hotel offered late dining and accommodated our needs. The bathroom was clean and the staff were helpful. The rooms were great, with a separate living room and kitchen downstairs. The pool area and changing rooms were clean and tidy. The bar upstairs was good for drinks, with entertainment on Saturday night. The food was decent and breakfast was good. Convenient location between Keswick and Penrith.

I recently had a great stay at a charming hotel in the northern Lake District. The hotel rooms were spacious suites with a kitchen, sitting area, and bathroom. The option to dine in the hotel restaurant or self-cater was fantastic. The hotel also had excellent amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and gymnasium. The views from the lounge overlooking the Eden Valley were breathtaking. The location of the hotel, midway between Penrith and Keswick, was perfect for exploring the stunning scenery of the northern lakes. The best thing about my stay was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel for a short break, although be prepared to wish you had booked for longer. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Stayed at a hotel in Troutbeck over Christmas and had an amazing time! The location was perfect, with beautiful countryside views and easy access from the A66. The room was like a lovely apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, and a balcony to enjoy the view. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The staff were friendly and the leisure facilities, although shared, were clean and enjoyable.

The parking situation was a bit of a hassle, with limited spaces and people parking in the drop-off area. as dog owners, it was a shame that the hotel didn't allow pets, as we would have loved to bring our furry friends along.
