We stayed at The White Mare for one night and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is beautiful, with gorgeous rooms and a cozy countryside pub feel. The staff were all amazing, very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely time. The restaurant food was delicious, especially the pastries for breakfast. The hotel manager and restaurant manager should be proud of their team. We will definitely stay here again.

During my recent business trip, I was pleased with the convenient location of the hotel and the speedy service provided by the staff. The room was also clean and spacious enough to work comfortably on my laptop. the Wi-Fi signal was stable, allowing me to complete my tasks without any interruptions.

My overall experience was somewhat lacking. The decor of the room was dated, and the bed was uncomfortable, leading to a restless night's sleep.

Lovely evening food served in the bar. The banana blossom main was delicious, accompanied by tasty chips and vegan mayonnaise. The vegan yogurts provided for breakfast were a thoughtful touch. The room was tastefully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The location was beautiful, perfect for walks.

The lack of olive oil for dipping and dressing the salad was a letdown. The service from one waitress on Saturday evening made us feel uncomfortable.

The room I had was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and offered excellent service throughout my stay. The breakfast was superb, with deliciously prepared and presented dishes. I also appreciated the well-equipped bathroom with a good shower. the pub had a great selection of local dishes and an extensive gin menu. A truly enjoyable experience.

Stayed at The White Mare for a week to climb Scafell Pike. Great location, only 25 mins from the start of the walk. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the full English breakfast was incredible. The dinner in the pub was also delicious. The room was lovely, clean and had nice decor. The owner, who lives on site, was wonderful too. a fantastic stay.
