My recent stay at Woodlands was a pleasant surprise. The proximity to the seafront and town center was convenient for exploring the area. The old building had a charming feel, and the garden was a lovely addition. The leisure lounge with a bar was a great spot to relax after a long day. The owners were friendly and made sure that my room was quiet, allowing me to rest peacefully. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, ensuring a comfortable stay.

There were a couple of minor drawbacks. The butter and marmalade being in plastic/foil wrappers was a bit disappointing, as I prefer more environmentally friendly options.

The staff were friendly and efficient, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, a great way to start the day. I highly recommend Woodlands Hotel for anyone visiting Sidmouth.

had a great rest in sidmouth, and Woodlands was even better than before - comfy beds, amazing breakfast, helpful owners, and a charming atmosphere. loved the historic building and bar area with snooker table and piano. will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic time at a family-run hotel in a great location. It was just a short walk away from the town centre and the beach, making it perfect for our 6 and 8-year-olds. The room was comfortable and spacious, with all the necessary amenities. The service was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a delicious home-cooked breakfast. There was also a large lounge area with plenty of seating and a fully stocked bar. The hotel had a lovely garden and was located in a quaint shopping area.

We did notice a slight doggy scent in the ground floor rooms which were dog-friendly.

The location of this hotel was fantastic, right in the heart of the town. the breakfast was very good, especially the pancakes and maple syrup. the staff were very friendly and accommodating, offering us extra towels upon request.

Our experience during our Christmas stay was not great. Our room was very cold and it wasn't easy to adjust the temperature.
