The highlight of my stay was spending time with his adorable pets! Convenient location and easy access. Would definitely recommend, especially for weddings in the area. Can recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring York and the surrounding areas. It is situated in a lovely village setting, but also provides easy access to the Monk's Corner Park and Ride for touring York City Centre. The fully equipped kitchen and separate living area in the cottage make it a comfortable and convenient choice. The pub offers a unique experience with music nights where neighbors and friends gather for a fun and lively atmosphere.

The bar lacked a bit of atmosphere, but the overall experience was still enjoyable.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our group of friends. We enjoyed relaxing in the pub in the evenings after a long day of exploring York and the surrounding areas. The room we stayed in was exceptionally clean and spacious, with all the amenities we needed. being close to Castle Howard and other English Heritage and NT properties was a major advantage for us.

In terms of breakfast, there was a lack of variety in terms of condiments and cereal options, but the breakfast itself was plentiful, freshly cooked, and delicious.

The cozy rooms had a rustic country feel that added to the charm of the trip. We appreciated the comfortable beds and the clean white sheets. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and had great local knowledge. They pointed us in the right direction, and we had a great meal at a nearby restaurant they recommended.

The vegetarian breakfast options were limited. It would have been better if the breakfast menu had more options for non-meat eaters. Also, we felt a bit rushed at check-out time. We had to check out at 11:00 am and were slightly unsettled when the owners started knocking on our door asking for the room keys when we were trying to pack up and leave.

The location of the hotel was also ideal, with easy access to York City Centre and other nearby attractions like Castle Howard. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend staying here.

This place is located close to all the sites, without the loudness of the city. You can also find a mini supermarket for supplies in the local village. The pub on site has a great friendly atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and clean with nice bathrooms. The service is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is delicious and made to order.

Parking can be tight for big vehicles.

We had a fantastic Easter break at this charming B&B above a cozy pub. the room was lovely and well kept, with a homely atmosphere that made us feel right at home. the owner was incredibly friendly and even offered a taxi service if we needed it. We also loved the fact that we were able to check in early with no problem at all. the breakfast was delicious and served at the exact time we requested.

While our stay was mostly enjoyable, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the shower temperature was hard to regulate and ended up being too hot no matter what we did.

Conveniently located just a couple of miles from our son's wedding venue, it made everything easier for us. The staff, Stewart and Lilley, were amazing; they went above and beyond, offering us lifts to and from the wedding venue and always being ready for a friendly chat. The bar prices were reasonable, creating a nice local pub atmosphere.

They even provided us with a fridge for our exclusive use, which was great for storing our special dietary food. the breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced, and the bar had some of the cheapest prices I've seen. a fantastic experience at Thompsons Arms.

The rooms were large and very comfortable, with plenty of tea and coffee provided. They were also immaculate, beautifully furnished, and had a lovely, bright, and airy atmosphere. The breakfast was great, with quality ingredients and a delicious full English at a great price. I would certainly go back again if in the area.
