The log cabin had all the amenities we needed and the surrounding area was stunning, especially when we saw it covered in snow. the peacefulness of the countryside made our long walks even more enjoyable. We loved coming back to the cabin and cozying up by the log burner. Jean, our host, was welcoming and gave us the privacy we wanted. We've already booked to return!

Stayed at Thornthwaite Farm Villa and had an amazing experience. the cottage was very cosy and clean, with stunning views of the surrounding scenery. It was located in a quiet area, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We were impressed with the host's hospitality and the provision of everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. the bed was extra comfy and the log cabin had a perfect mix of modern amenities and rustic charm. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at Thornthwaite Farm Villa. the location was lovely and quiet, perfect for exploring the beautiful southern lakes and other attractions in the area. We appreciated the helpful information pack that included a couple of walks, including one to the charming square in Broughton in Furness. the shared lawn at the back of the property was a great place to relax, with plenty of benches. Jean and Claire, our hosts, were extremely helpful and kind, even assisting us when we realized we had forgotten some items. the cottage itself was cozy, with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and well-equipped kitchen/living area. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free, and the proximity to Coniston water made it a convenient base for our adventures. We would definitely choose Thornthwaite Farm Villa again for our next stay. The location is superb, with idyllic landscapes and plenty of activities in the surrounding area for families. The cottage is well furnished and clean, with spacious rooms and great facilities like a BBQ and picnic area. There are also lovely walks nearby and it's easy to explore Coniston Water.

The WiFi speed is a downside, as it uses satellite and can be slow.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Thornthwaite Farm. The cottage was modern and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable weekend. The spacious bathroom and comfortable bed were a delight. The kitchen/living area was perfect after a long day of walking. The location was fantastic, nestled in the middle of fells and sheep, which our kids loved. The breathtaking views and rural setting made for a peaceful and safe getaway. We can't wait to go back and highly recommend Thornthwaite Farm. I highly recommend this place.

the farm villa exceeded our expectations. it was even better than our previous stay in broughton in furness. the beautiful surroundings, great communication from the hosts, and flexibility with our arrival time made it a perfect city getaway. we will definitely be coming back!

The Villa was very comfortable and spacious, with quality furniture and all the amenities we could want. the owners were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. the location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, surrounded by beautiful countryside. We especially loved the cozy cottage, with its wood-burning stove keeping the place warm. the bathroom was spacious and the tub was amazing. it was a great experience for a relaxing break.

I had a wonderful stay at a cozy and secluded farm villa. the surroundings were so peaceful, making it easy to sleep and relax. the kitchen was well-equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. It was a rare find to have fully working appliances in a place like this. the villa had all the amenities we needed and parking was convenient right outside the room. the owners were polite and accommodating, adding to the overall excellent experience.
