i love thorverton arms in this village. safe and welcoming spot with spotless beds. slightly outside the centre but worth it. beautiful decor in rooms, clean sheets, and complimentary water, coffee, tea. very efficient check-in process. friendly hosts providing a warm welcome. excellent pub food and comfortable beds. would definitely return!

The twin room was cozy with an electric kettle, fireplace, and tea/coffee maker, making it feel like home. As a guest who enjoys a warm cuppa before bed, I truly appreciated these homely touches. Cons: the shower room had a slight odor due to lack of ventilation, but opening the door and window helped dissipate it.

Loved the super cozy bed and clean rooms, plus the friendly staff were a real bonus. Enjoyed a relaxing stroll in the garden area and made use of the beach umbrellas. the only downside was the additional charge for the dog, seemed a bit steep; otherwise, it was all good! Will definitely go back again! 🌞

The Thorverton Arms in Exeter was a delightful stay with my 2-month-old baby. the relaxed vibe of the beach access and bbq facilities made for a perfect family bonding experience. the nearby landmarks like the Devon Railway Centre and Fursdon House added to our enjoyment. the leisure room was a great spot to unwind after exploring Stone Lane Gardens and Quicke's. the garden area provided a peaceful retreat and the beach umbrellas were a nice touch.
