I had a fantastic stay at this cottage. The views over the lake were absolutely lovely, providing a sense of tranquility. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas, allowing me to easily visit the places I wanted to see. The ground floor had plenty of room, making it very practical, especially for my dog. The flooring was also well-suited for pets. The path around the lake was a wonderful addition, making early morning dog walks a breeze. The use of a key safe was very handy, as it allowed for flexible arrival times, which was crucial for me due to heavy traffic on the journey up. The visitor information pack, specifically the book of walks, proved to be incredibly useful.

I had a fantastic stay at this cottage! The location was absolutely amazing, with a beautiful view of the lake right next to the house. It was so peaceful and idyllic, making it the perfect getaway. The house itself was squeaky clean and well-maintained, with all the facilities working perfectly. I loved sitting outside on the bench, taking in the stunning surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that my boyfriend and I had a comfortable stay. the best aspects were the cleanliness, location, and helpful staff.

The location of the cottage was absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the lake from the main bedroom window. It provided a peaceful and serene setting for a relaxing break. The living area was comfortable and the kitchen was easy to use, making it convenient for cooking meals. there was a good-sized car park available for guests.

The cleanliness of the cottage left much to be desired. Thick cobwebs were found on the ceilings and walls, and the shower head was black and mouldy.

They even called ahead to check if we needed a high chair when we requested a travel cot, which we thought was excellent customer service. The cottage had everything we needed and felt like a home away from home. Plus, the location was perfect for exploring the Peak District and its endless scenic beauty. We can't wait to return and explore more!

My partner and I recently stayed at Darwin Lake Holiday Village for a weekend getaway in the Peak District. The location was perfect, and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The cottage was clean, warm, and surprisingly spacious. We were impressed with the beautiful gardens and grounds, and the friendly staff, particularly the talented gardener who had created stunning displays. The key safe check-in process was convenient, especially as we encountered heavy traffic on our journey. The provided book of walks was a helpful resource, and we enjoyed morning dog walks around the picturesque lake. it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely return.
