We stayed at a very comfortable self-catering cottage right in the heart of Kirkwall, on a quiet side street. Our hosts, who live nearby, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The cottage was well-equipped, nicely decorated, and had satisfactory cooking facilities and a washing machine. We were also grateful for the small bottle of milk, biscuits, cheese, and fudge left for us upon arrival. The location was perfect, just a ten-minute walk to the harbor and the Visit Scotland Travel Centre. we thoroughly recommend 8 Victoria Road for a pleasant stay in Kirkwall.
