My stay at Walkers Retreat was absolutely wonderful. The bed in my room was hands down the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced in a hotel. As someone who travels with show dogs, I appreciated that the accommodation was pet-friendly. Even though the weather didn't allow for much walking, the views in the area were breathtaking and brought tears to my eyes. The owners of the property were incredibly welcoming and the amenities provided were top-notch. I especially loved the homemade lemon curd! I highly recommend this peaceful and tranquil retreat.

The only minor drawback I encountered was the lack of extra lighting by the steps outside the property, making it a little difficult to navigate at night. However, this is easily fixable and didn't significantly impact my stay.

As low-budget travelers, we were impressed with the helpful hosts, well-equipped kitchen, and the local community store nearby. The view was lovely and the heating was on regularly, perfect for drying clothes after a walk in the rain.
