We found Watercress Lodges & Campsite to be a hidden gem for our short family stay. The Lodge had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to spacious and comfortable accommodation. The location near a heritage railway station added to the charm without any noise concerns. It served as a perfect base for exploring nearby attractions and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We will definitely return in the future.

Our stay at Watercress Lodges & Campsite was excellent value for money. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with beautiful scenery and a quiet atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

Parking issue.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay! With a 2-year-old and a 3-week-old baby, we were looking for somewhere child-friendly and homely. This lodge ticked all the boxes. The two bedrooms allowed us to avoid disturbing the toddler when the baby woke up, and the spacious living room was a great place for us to relax. The outside space was a bonus, and the train passing by entertained our little one. The facilities provided, including a high chair and washing machine, made our stay very pleasant. If we visit family again, we will definitely choose to stay here over a hotel.

We stayed at Watercress Lodges & Campsite and had an amazing experience. the little houses were beautiful, both inside and out. They were well-insulated and kept us warm and cozy even without heating. the modern kitchen and interiors, along with the wooden floors and oak furniture, added a touch of elegance. the lodges were equipped with all the necessary amenities like a washing machine and dishwasher. We highly recommend these lodges, especially for families, as the facilities and surroundings were perfect for a relaxing stay. Jo, the host, was friendly and gave us great suggestions for activities. Excellent value for money.

Nothing not to love 😊

We absolutely loved the layout of the lodge - it was spacious and well-designed, with a functional kitchen and separate laundry/utility room. The dining area in the living room was a nice touch, and the extendable table was a great feature. The French windows in the living room opened onto a lovely patio, and the Velux windows upstairs let in plenty of air and light, offering fantastic views of the rural setting. The location was also great, close to amenities and walking trails, and it was a treat to have the heritage Watercress Line nearby. The staff were friendly and genuinely pleased with our stay - we couldn't have asked for better service.
