We spent New Year's Eve at this hotel and the breakfast was fantastic, with fresh and locally sourced produce. The room was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the homemade granola for breakfast. The location was great for taking some nice walks around the area.

We were disappointed with some aspects of our stay. The staff seemed a bit distant and uninterested in assisting us. We were not able to watch TV in our room, and the DVD player was difficult to set up. We also felt uncomfortable with the additional charges for items such as fruit juice and granola, which were presented as though for individual sale. while the location and breakfast were enjoyable, we were disappointed with the lack of attentiveness and amenities provided during our stay.

From the moment we arrived, we felt at home, thanks to clear directions, convenient parking, and a warm atmosphere. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a modern bathroom stocked with luxurious amenities. We were treated to a delicious scratch supper and enjoyed a relaxing evening by the fire. the breakfast was lavish and made with local ingredients. We also appreciated the provided booklets with mapped routes for exploring Dartmoor.
