The hotel's exterior gives off a real local-yocal, sporty vibe, but don't let that fool you—it's a gem! the warm welcome and attention to detail in the room really made my stay cozy. While the beds were comfy, the towels were a bit scratchy, but nothing a little fabric softener couldn't fix. 👍.

Gillian went above and beyond by preparing an early breakfast and a packed lunch for us. Had a lovely stay in a charming hotel in the centre of the village. Room was cozy, LOVED the bar area. Noisy shower, but worth it. Would stay again! .

I chose the White Horse as the cheapest option in my area, over Premier and Travelodge! It appears like a dreich north east place, with a sport themed front. It is SO MUCH MORE. The safety, with a front door key, the warm welcome, ease of checking in, the concern for my privacy. The room was warmed for my arrival, tea, coffee, biscuits, kettle. I didn't eat, but I did see a family enjoying themselves in the dining hall. The bar is a hub for the community with local colour, music nights, poetry nights, and regulars making it a really lovely experience and welcome. The beers on tap were good and well kept. The TV had sign in online TV; Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, it worked!
