I recently stayed at Woodbrooke for a two-night business trip. The comfortable bed and clean bathroom were very welcoming. The breakfast service was convenient and all items were readily available. The hotel's own park added to the overall charm. Additionally, the bus stop right next to the hotel made transportation to and from the airport effortless.

Basic but comfortable and very clean rooms. Excellent internet for streaming. Superb staff. Nice library and communal areas. Free coffee, fruit, cakes, and a wonderful breakfast. Good shower with toiletries provided. Convenient location for the University of Birmingham.

As longer-term business travelers, we appreciated the excellent WiFi and the cleanliness of the rooms. The ensuite facilities were top-notch and the view from our window was lovely. The room had all the necessary furniture and amenities, including a wardrobe, kettle, and plenty of tea and coffee. The powerful and hot shower was a bonus, and the grounds were simply amazing. Short walk to Bournville village and the meals provided were fantastic. A highlight was the option to sit at larger tables, which allowed us to interact with other guests and not feel lonely. The gardens were absolutely stunning, and the fact that the dinner was cooked using vegetables grown on-site made it even more delicious. a great experience.

the staff and volunteers were genuinely friendly and engaged, always welcoming with real smiles. the food was delicious and beautifully presented, with plenty of options for different dietary requirements. the sun lounge was a lovely space to relax, with comfortable lemon and turquoise chairs, and a generous supply of good coffee, tea, lemon. I also loved the well-stocked art room and library, which guests could freely use. the surroundings were breathtaking, with bluebells, garlic, wooded paths, a lake. And the historical architecture of the buildings added to the charm. It was also conveniently located just a 13-minute bus ride from the station.

The room, while basic, was comfortable and the shared bathroom was spacious. I also appreciated that the staff catered to my vegan gluten-free dietary needs. I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Woodbrooke and will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area.

It felt like a unique experience, reminiscent of my time in the RAF. the friendly volunteers at reception made us feel welcome and even provided us with identity cards. the tranquil surroundings were a refreshing escape from the bustling city, just what we needed. the staff and volunteers were always happy, helpful, and kind. They went above and beyond, offering excellent parking facilities and even printing out directions for us. the food was delicious and nutritious, with both the evening meal and breakfast being top-notch. the comfortable beds and additional amenities like a towel warmer added to the overall comfort. It was truly a beautiful retreat in every sense, and we appreciated how the staff respected our privacy when we wanted it. the absence of a television in the room was a pleasant change, allowing us to engage in meaningful conversations and enjoy a peaceful ambience. the library and games room were additional highlights, offering a wide range of books and entertainment options.

The hotel is located in a peaceful and calm environment, perfect for unwinding and relaxing. The breakfast offered is delicious, with a wide selection to choose from. Additionally, the hotel has a beautiful conservatory where you can sit quietly and enjoy a cup of coffee.

The single rooms are located on the top floor, which can be a bit inconvenient with narrow corridors and steep stairs. Also, there is no in-room entertainment provided, so it's recommended to bring a radio for entertainment purposes.

During my Christmas stay, I absolutely loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed. the beautiful lounge overlooking the stunning gardens was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. the fact that the hotel had a library was amazing, as I love to lose myself in a good book. the location of the hotel was key, being conveniently close to must-visit places in the city.

One downside of my stay was that the rooms were not serviced unless requested, which was a bit inconvenient if you're staying for more than one night. Another drawback was that lunch and dinner had to be pre-booked, as well as the need to arrive by 10 pm to get the room key.
