I recently stayed at a charming inn in a beautiful village, perfect for a stopover on my way to pick up my gun dogs. The inn was located next to a stunning castle, providing a picturesque view. The room was spacious and well-decorated, with a large and inviting bathroom. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in early and providing a fan to combat the summer heat. The breakfast was superb, with the highlight being the best bacon I've had in a long time.

The staff at this inn were incredibly friendly and happy, making our stay very enjoyable. the bed was comfortable and the food options were great, with plenty of choice. the location was also a major plus, as it was situated right opposite a stunning castle. the spacious and comfortable room had secondary glazing, which helped to reduce road noise and increase energy efficiency.

The lack of double glazing, which meant that traffic noise could be heard at night. It would have been great if this old building could have been updated in that aspect.

It was inconvenient to arrive and find out that the kitchen had already closed, especially after a long journey. This lack of flexibility was something that we found concerning.

The hotel's location near the ancient Castle of Whittington was fantastic, with beautiful ruins just opposite. I loved being able to explore the castle and enjoy the cafe and bookshop nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the cleanliness of the hotel and its facilities were top-notch. I was impressed with the well-decorated room and the great bathroom with a proper window. Plus, there was plenty of parking available, which was a big plus.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. The large free car park was a bonus, and we enjoyed the outstanding breakfast. The location was perfect for our appointment at the orthopaedic hospital, just a short two-minute drive away. The room we requested with a shower was provided, and the shower itself was excellent.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming pub/hotel. the new managers were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. Despite arriving early on a hot day, they allowed us to check in early and even provided a fan for our room. the bathroom was large and spacious, and the quirky sloping floor added to the character of the historic building. the large car park was convenient for our motorbike, and the breakfast was simply superb. the cheerful and friendly breakfast staff made the experience even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again in this lovely little village.

The shower was difficult to control, as it would start scalding hot as soon as it was turned on. the noise from the busy road outside was disruptive, especially in the mornings.
