I recently had a wonderful stay at a charming inn nestled beside a picturesque river. The room I stayed in offered stunning views of the river. The bed was comfortable, and the staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, and there was a good selection of local ales in the pub. The inn also offers packed lunches, including scrumptious vegetarian scotch eggs.

I did experience some noise from neighboring rooms due to the thin walls.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The value for money is exceptional, with prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the basic yet comfy amenities in the rooms to the fantastic views that will take your breath away. The location in the gorgeous area is truly unbeatable, with stunning views of the Wye River right from your window. And let's not forget the breakfast! The coffee served here is hands down the best I've ever had.

Spent my Xmas holidays with family in a cozy historical inn! the warm fireplace and classic decor created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing break from the city. the location was ideal for outdoor walks and a great place to enjoy picturesque views. We also enjoyed an amazing traditional Xmas lunch and the friendliest staff who went the extra mile to make our stay unforgettable. the packed lunches were just as exceptional, filled with delicious treats and perfect for our day trips.

Our Christmas by the river was made difficult by the noise that seemed to come from every direction. the rooms were not soundproof at all, which made it hard to relax and get a good night's sleep.

Despite the pouring rain, I was instantly made to feel at home when I entered the charming inn. The owner went above and beyond by ensuring the room was heated for my comfort, even in mid-June! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The warm welcome and excellent value have definitely won me over. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

We had a fantastic stay at the River Wye retreat. The room was spacious, clean and well-equipped with stunning views over the river. The big bathroom with both bath and shower was a great addition. The staff could not have been more helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. The location was magical, right on the river, offering peace and tranquility at night. The variety of teas and coffees in the room was a nice touch. The cooked breakfasts were delicious and the pub food, especially the steaks, were excellent. We enjoyed the convenience of walking and canoeing straight from the door and loved taking the historic chain ferry across the river. The outdoor seating area was perfect for al fresco dining. We also appreciated the warm and friendly locals. a wonderful experience and we plan on returning in the autumn.

The TV in our room was too small and far away from the bed, making it difficult to watch and read any text on the screen. the menu was the same every night, so a daily specials board would have added more variety and choice.
