Really nice older building, comfortable with areas for TV and quiet lounge. Teenage boys enjoyed their stay and would return. YHA staff were great. Location was good, though not near main attractions. Rooms were suitable, but not the cleanest. Bathrooms were not in great condition, but water was hot.

Family room had comfortable beds. Food was excellent and good value. Staff were friendly. Enjoyed the stay and would do it again. Thank you.

The hotel's location was perfect for walking the old man of Coniston, as it was only a few minutes walk to the center but still really peaceful. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and airy, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The basic amenities were all there, and the attention to detail was evident throughout our stay.

It would have been great if there was recycling available inside the hotel or in the self-catering area.

the location is great as it is very close to all the good hikes in the area and just a short walk to the centre of Coniston village. Secondly, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. Lastly, the basic amenities in the rooms were sufficient, including a good variety of bottled drinks and a tasty breakfast option.

All in all, my stay at this hotel was fine.

The YHA hostel is conveniently located near Coniston village, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. It offers easy access to amazing hiking trails and kayaking adventures. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with welcoming staff who go out of their way to assist guests. The breakfast is delicious and there are also self-catering facilities available. the hostel has ample parking spaces for guests.

Some of the shared facilities, such as the toilets and showers, could be cleaner and more well-maintained.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, situated in the beautiful Lake District, just a short walk away from the village and the stunning Coniston Water. It was ideal for walkers and climbers like myself, as there were plenty of opportunities to explore the breathtaking surroundings. Additionally, it was conveniently close to John Ruskin's house and the surrounding area, which was a must-visit for any history enthusiast.

The new comfy beds, flat screen TV in the dining hall, and new sofas in the lounge added to our comfortable and enjoyable stay. The food was delicious and affordable, and we appreciated the reasonable choices available. The location of the hostel was perfect, just a short walk away from Coniston. we highly recommend YHA Coniston Holly How for a great weekend getaway.

The location was perfect, just a short walk from the town center and close to the bus stop. The staff were incredibly helpful and the other guests were respectful and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. The communal areas, like the outdoor terrace and self-serve kitchen, were welcoming and well-equipped. I also appreciated the ample free parking and the family-friendly atmosphere with outdoor spaces for kids to play. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back.

I had the most amazing stay at Yha Coniston Holly How! The food was absolutely delicious, and I never went hungry during my visit. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing me with a good night's sleep every night. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings and taking part in exciting activities. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hostel.

The hostel exceeded all my expectations with its spacious and clean rooms, efficient and organized facilities, and incredibly kind and helpful staff. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings and the communal kitchen was spotless and super organized. The on-site bar was a great addition for unwinding after a long day of exploring. an ideal place to stay with great value for money. 10/10 from me!

The showers at Yha Coniston Holly How were a bit small, but the water was warm and the pressure was good. It was a bit challenging to shower and get dressed in such a small space, but I managed. The location of the hostel was excellent for outdoor activities, and the communal areas were welcoming. The self-serve kitchen was well-equipped, and the food at the hostel was delicious. Despite a few minor inconveniences, overall I had a great stay and would recommend Yha Coniston Holly How.

Had a great Easter break at a hostel in the Lake District! the gardens were lovely with lots of trees and outdoor seating areas to enjoy. the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Best of all, the location was perfect for our outdoor adventures, with lots of hiking trails and stunning natural scenery.

My only complaint was that the breakfast portions were quite small, and we weren't allowed to order more than one of each item. It would have been nice to have a bit more variety as well, but overall it was a good value for the price we paid.
