The location was perfect for our hike up Helvellyn, with the various routes starting right outside the hostel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing us with helpful information about the area. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of walking. The food, especially the pizza, was delicious, and we also appreciated the breakfast and drying room facilities. this hostel provided a nice and comfortable place to stay for our hiking adventure.

The location of the hostel is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by hills and offering breathtaking views. The rooms are clean and well-organized, with comfortable beds and heating available if needed. The shower and toilet facilities are of excellent standard, clean and well-maintained. The hostel also provides a well-stocked bar and cafe with friendly and attentive staff. the facilities and location make it an ideal choice for hikers or those looking for a peaceful retreat.

My stay at the hostel was worth every penny! The room was incredibly comfortable, with the bed and bedding being top-notch. The location was simply breathtaking, tucked away in a remote spot next to a peaceful river. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home.

Hotel breakfast could've been improved with more affordable options.

great accommodation for the price, with hearty and tasty food, super soft beds, and clean bedding. Plenty of space to sit and chat, along with reasonably priced bar. The staff and other guests were friendly and kind, providing delicious ice cream and internet access. a great company and enjoyable stay.

Road to the hostel was horrendous.

stayed in glenridding once before, but Yha Helvellyn surpassed expectations! Friendly staff, cozy rooms, and breathtaking views. Great hot chocolate, delicious cakes, and even had a swim in the river. Showers were hot, and there were plenty of games to play. a fantastic experience!

Limited storage space for clothes/bags.

I stayed at Yha Helvellyn for a hiking trip with friends. The staff were amazing, providing all the information we needed. The bathroom and showers were super clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The food at the restaurant was top-notch, especially the vegan curry the chef made for us. The location was great, with a waterfall nearby and a peaceful river right outside our window. Highly recommend!

The location of this hostel is truly exceptional, with easy access to both Helvelyn and surrounding peaks. The bunk room had a great view and the sound of cascading water made for a peaceful night's sleep. The toilets were sparkling clean, exceeding expectations for a hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing a wonderful dining experience. The lounge was a nice place to relax. However, the kitchen was small and could be crowded during peak times.
