second time staying here and it was just as great as before. staff was helpful and friendly, facilities perfect for walkers with drying room and laundry. loved the cozy lounge and kitchen. can't find a better value in the area.

The track walking up to Glenridding was filled with stunning scenery, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers. the hostel's kitchen and dining room allowed for guests from all around the world to come together, creating an opportunity for cultural exchange and interesting conversations.

Transportation to and from the hotel was quite a hassle, as the only option available was to rely on taxis.

For the price we paid, we definitely got our money's worth. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with cozy bunk beds that were actually high enough to sit on the bottom one. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and kind, going out of their way to assist us in finding a cheap taxi when we missed the bus. The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to the lakes and peaks, as well as local buses to Penrith and Windermere. the pizza served at the hotel was delicious.

There were no individual lockers for personal belongings, which was a bit inconvenient.

Stayed at this lovely hostel near the lake and had a great time. YHA Patterdale is a fantastic location for exploring the surrounding area and going on hikes. the staff were friendly and professional, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. the on-site facilities were spacious, with a dining area and lounge that had plenty of space even when it was busy. the views from the courtyard were beautiful, and it was lovely to relax there with a drink on a sunny day. had a wonderful experience and looking forward to going back soon!
