The B&B exceeded our expectations in every way. The owner was incredibly welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our family room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and a stunning bathroom. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious, and we could even customize our order. The location was perfect, with easy access to both Durham and Sunderland, and a park and field nearby for our children to play in.

We had no complaints during our stay. The only small issue was with the shower, as the sliding door made it a bit challenging to access for people of larger size.

Stayed at York House Durham for one night with friends to celebrate a birthday. From the incredibly warm welcome to the beautifully decorated rooms, everything was perfect. The newly fitted bathrooms were a nice touch, and the breakfast cooked to order was delicious. The owners also provided great recommendations for local cafes and restaurants, which were excellent quality and value. a wonderful stay and amazing value.

Bathroom had no heating.

They provided little extras like complimentary drinks and a stocked fridge in the room, which was a nice touch. the breakfast was absolutely amazing and definitely one of the best we've had. the location was perfect, nestled in a charming country setting with beautiful villages and good pubs nearby. It was also easy to access Durham and the stunning Northumbrian coast.

There were a couple of minor issues with the room. the wardrobe in Room 3 was slightly wonky and could have used something underneath to stabilize it.
