We travel a lot and our stay at Alma Historica Boutique in Montevideo was one of our best hotel experiences. The staff was exceptional, making us feel like part of the family. The location was perfect for exploring the Old Town, with no need for a car. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with beautiful antiques and updated bathrooms. The hotel's decor theme, reflecting Uruguayan culture, was both touching and attractive. The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the Old Town and within walking distance of the Port. We found out about this gem of a hotel through the Guru Guay guide and couldn't be happier.

We stayed at Alma Historica Boutique Hotel for our honeymoon and had an incredible experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, from providing a room with a balcony overlooking the park to offering to make us delicious espresso. The breakfast was outstanding, with made-to-order eggs that were fantastic. The location was perfect for exploring the city and we loved watching the sunset from the rooftop hot tub. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with beautiful decor and updated bathrooms. We can't recommend this hotel enough!

We had a great experience at this hotel. The location on Zabala square in the historic center was fantastic, allowing us to easily explore everything in the old city. The staff provided excellent service, offering room service and car and bicycle hire. The room amenities were top-notch, with a sitting area, terrace, and in-room safe. We also enjoyed the dining options, with a bar/lounge area and buffet breakfast. this place offered enhanced comfort and quality services.

During my Christmas stay at this hotel, I loved the beautifully decorated rooms and the historic significance behind each one. It was fascinating to learn about famous Uruguayan figures and have their decor celebrated in the rooms. the staff was exceptional, providing excellent service and making sure my stay was perfect. the location was also fantastic, with plenty of good restaurants nearby and key attractions within walking distance. it was a delightful experience.

My stay was only for one night, and that was the biggest downside. I wish I could have stayed longer to fully enjoy all the amenities and take advantage of the great roof terrace with stunning views of the city and harbor.

The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect for our city trip. It was right in the heart of the Old Town, within walking distance of shops, squares, and restaurants. We didn't have to worry about transportation or getting lost, as everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They were always available to answer any questions or provide recommendations, making our stay even more enjoyable.

There were a couple of negatives during our stay. the breakfast crockery and glassware were in poor condition.

I absolutely loved the historical theme of this hotel. The decor in the public areas and my room was so tastefully done. They even used reconditioned and upcycled furniture, which added to the charm.
