Our stay at Abe'S Spring Street Guest House was fantastic! The room was beautifully decorated with unique handcrafted furnishings and artwork, and everything was spotlessly clean. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Main Street and the city center, allowing us to easily explore Galena. The owners, Sandy and Charles, were incredibly hospitable and interesting to talk to, and we enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with them during our stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a variety of fresh fruit and a mouthwatering sausage breakfast bake. We also loved the charming individual cinnamon rolls. it was a memorable experience, and we have already booked a return trip!

The only improvement I could suggest is regarding breakfast offerings.

The historic and artistic feel of the property was a delight, with unique bronze sculptures and glazed tilework created by Charles. The location was convenient, just a quick 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive to downtown Galena shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed checking out the Stone House Pottery & Gallery next door, featuring works by Charles and other artists.
