The hotel is a fantastic base for exploration, with a plethora of amazing dining options just a few steps away, including Delicious Thai food and cozy pubs that made our evenings enjoyable, while the charming parks and landmarks like SDCCU Stadium and Lake Murray are easily accessible, making it perfect for my weekend strolls; the friendly staff ensures a comfortable stay with clean rooms and an admirable breakfast selection, but the air conditioning could be quieter for an even better experience.

Comfortable room, comfortable atmosphere with a large king bed and a well-equipped kitchenette that made me feel right at home.

The location was decent, not far from attractions.

During my recent stay at a hotel near Viejas Arena, I found the facilities to be great, with a clean pool area and a satisfying continental breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and the location, close to major freeways but peaceful, made for a relaxing stay. The smell of old carpets hit me as soon as I walked in, and the Wi-Fi was practically useless. I had to scramble to find a bar just to get online and book my ride because they couldn’t help. So frustrating!

Additionally, the hotel’s proximity to San Diego State University was convenient for us to explore the campus and attend an event at Viejas Arena. The comfortable and clean rooms provided a pleasant retreat after our exciting outings.

My wife says that the hotel could benefit from adding a dedicated play area or kids' activities to cater better to families with children.

The Lamplighter Inn was a hidden gem amidst a questionable area. The facilities were clean, and staff friendly. The spacious room suites with kitchenette were a plus. Despite issues with room amenities, the hotel's pleasant atmosphere and helpful check-in experience made our stay enjoyable.

I always return for a holiday at this spot! The staff helped me with taxi tips on my first stay. It suits me perfectly with Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, fitness centre, and game room. Plus, breakfast is a bonus.
