For the price of $210 a night, we were delighted with the size, cleanliness, and lovely details in the rooms. The massive twin-tub in the bathroom was a nice touch, and the balcony added a romantic touch to our stay. We enjoyed listening to the coyotes at night while taking in the beautiful sunset over the field. The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring Matthiessen and Starved Rock parks, and the tranquility of the surroundings allowed us to sit and relax regardless of the weather.

The spacious and very clean rooms with their big windows and tons of sunlight fit our needs perfectly. The service and staff are top-notch, and the breakfast provided by the thoughtful owners is very much appreciated. The library area, which opens up to a deck/patio and gazebo, offers additional separate socializing spots.
