The first room was a disaster—cockroaches and stains everywhere. Thankfully, the staff quickly moved us to a much cleaner space. Still, the persistent smell of smoke from neighboring balconies was hard to ignore. The pools were nice, and it was great not needing pool bracelets, but the lack of housekeeping was frustrating. Minor things like more towel hooks would really help. The friendly staff made a difference, but the overall condition of the rooms felt outdated and cheap. It's a shame because we wanted to enjoy our time here, but the experience was hit or miss.

The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The free DVD rental is a fun bonus, and the pools are well-kept and inviting.

The heated pool and lazy river were the ultimate chill zones! I had an incredible time sipping refreshing drinks by the pool while my boys enjoyed daily activities. Plus, the staff treated us like family, which made our stay even more special!

Comfortable stay with beautiful ocean views

Camelot By the Sea offers a fantastic beachfront location with spacious rooms. The king bed provided excellent support, and the mini kitchen was perfect for quick meals.

The spacious layout included a mini kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances and kitchenware. A good-sized bathroom, though the space felt awkward for larger individuals. Some lights were out, and the air conditioner dripped water unexpectedly. The hot tub was enjoyable. Staff response was lacking, especially regarding requests for fresh towels. A tight schedule for check-out, with early housekeeping presence, added pressure to our departure.

Staying at this hotel was awesome for strolling around as it offered a beautiful oceanfront view and was right in the middle of everything, with places like Broadway at the Beach featuring shops and restaurants just a short walk away, along with fun attractions like the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel and Ripley's Aquarium of Myrtle Beach only a few moments away by foot; the friendly staff and cozy, clean rooms made our experience enjoyable but the hotel could use some upgrades to the room decor to match the fantastic surroundings.

great beach getaway

Awesome location right on the ocean! Beds were super comfy, and we had more than enough towels for our group of 7. Loved having a washer/dryer in the room. Staff was really friendly. Clean place with a decent selection of indoor pools. Full kitchen made it easy to cook. Oh, and no pool bracelets to deal with!

The Jamaican guy who checked us in was wonderful, but the property needs updating. However, the location is great, and the pools and jacuzzis were a nice touch for our quick family stay.
