We recently stayed at Ascend Hotel in Opelousas for a relaxing weekend getaway. Our room was spacious and clean, with extra comfy beds that made it hard to get up in the mornings. The staff was excellent, always friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was outstanding, with the nicest ladies as cooks who were so sweet. We loved the convenient casino attached to the hotel, along with its many restaurants. The highlight of our stay was being able to watch the horse races from our window and even placing some winning bets. We also appreciated the smoking patio outside and the housekeeper on the 2nd floor, Tay, who went above and beyond by returning my wedding ring that I had left behind. a great experience and good to know there are still honest people like Tay.

The hotel had a great location, close to everything, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. One of the highlights was the view from our window, where we could see horse races. It was so much fun to bet and even win a few times! The hotel also had a nice smoking patio and a casino with many restaurants. I want to give a special shoutout to Tay, the housekeeper on the 2nd floor, who went above and beyond by returning my wedding ring that I had left behind. She was truly a gem and made our stay even more memorable.

Despite a few minor issues, such as a malfunctioning in-room safe and low water pressure, we would definitely recommend this hotel for its reasonable rates and overall pleasant experience.

The AC worked flawlessly, keeping the room nice and cool. I loved the easy access to the casino and racetrack, as you can enter the casino directly from the hotel, although some walking is required. Despite tensions among the staff, Myles at the front desk was exceptional, providing friendly and helpful service. The hotel itself was very clean, with spacious rooms, a nice pool, and all the amenities you'd need. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the towels were soft. The staff was always friendly, and the location was convenient. Additionally, the fridge kept things very cold, and there was plenty of lighting and outlets in the room. it was a great stay.

Despite my overall positive experience at this hotel, I do have one minor complaint. Being pregnant, I needed a jacuzzi or bathtub to sit in for comfort, but unfortunately, the room only had a stand-up shower.
