We stayed at the Excelsior Hotel for a few nights while attending concerts at the Beacon Theatre. The location was perfect, within walking distance to many restaurants and right across from the American Museum of Natural History. The warm and intimate atmosphere, along with the beautifully decorated public spaces, created a comfortable and ageless ambiance. The staff consistently provided pleasant and helpful service, making our stay delightful. The Jr. Suite room was spacious, allowing our family to relax and the kids to have a great time.

Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. It is right next to Central Park and across the street from the American Museum of Natural History. I loved being able to easily access these great museums and take walks in the park. The hotel itself was clean and had great facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location next to Central Park and Natural History Museum, safe area, close to subway, spacious Jr. Suite room, kids enjoyed the table and sofa area, helpful front desk, brought a fridge upon request, clean and comfortable, comfortable beds.

I recently stayed at the Excelsior in NYC for a week-long visit. The location was perfect, with Central Park and the Natural History Museum just across the street. The nearby restaurants along Amsterdam Ave and Broadway were a great bonus. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, and the competitive pricing made it a great value for an uptown hotel. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay at the Excelsior again.

loved our stay at this charming hotel in the upper west side. the staff was friendly and the location was perfect - close to central park and the subway. the decor was tastefully done, and the room was comfortable with a modern bathroom. plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes to enjoy. exceeded our expectations!

The beds in the room seemed smaller than doubles, which could make it uncomfortable for more than two people to share the room. Another downside was the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom, which could lead to some discomfort during showers.
