we had a fantastic time at fairville inn. our room in the carriage house was spacious and super clean. breakfast was amazing every day, especially the customized hot entrees! it’s also just a short drive to winterthur and the brandywine museum, making it a convenient spot to explore. the afternoon tea with sweetbreads was a lovely touch too.

The Fairville Inn radiates charm with its quaint decor and serene atmosphere. The WiFi could use an upgrade to serve the whole property better!!! It would also be nice to have dedicated seating in common areas for relaxation. Please consider other cafes or tables for afternoon tea instead of simply reusing existing space!!!

Consider bringing a foam mattress topper if you're used to plush beds. the mattresses can be quite hard and uncomfortable for some guests.

Our stay was primarily to enjoy the nearby attractions, including Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine River Museum. The breakfast was the highlight of our visit, especially the delicious lemon blueberry pancakes that the breakfast hostess served. Additionally, the spaciousness and cleanliness of our room, along with the beautiful views from the balcony, made our experience quite enjoyable. A lovely, serene property that added to our trip!

The property was immaculate and super well-maintained. Loved the common areas and the cozy vibe. It’s a fabulous spot for reunions or weddings with oh-so-many lovely nooks to enjoy.

Only downside? No restaurants within walking distance! I didn’t expect a seven-course meal on a main road, but a wee bite would’ve been nice.
