My husband and I had a perfect fall getaway at this beautiful East Texas inn. The location was wonderful, just a short walk to old town with its unique restaurants, antique shops, and music venues. We enjoyed sitting outside in the nice weather and there were plenty of places to relax other than our room. The breakfast was absolutely awesome and we loved being asked for our opinions on it. The innkeepers were kind and well-informed, providing us with everything we needed. There were also friendly cats around, which we enjoyed.

This place is truly the gem of the city. We were brought out here for Polar Express and the Red Fire Grill, but now we're just going to come back every year for Fig Tree Manor. The breakfast was outstanding, with a surprisingly delicious poppyseed dressing on the fruit cup. The cozy atmosphere made us feel like we were staying with family. The decor was beautiful, and the living room and deck provided a welcoming space. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, with excellent restaurants and a park nearby.

The hotel facilities were great, with a clean and secluded pool that was a pleasant surprise for a B&B. The staff, especially Tom, the proprietor, were warm, personable.
