Our family had an incredible stay at this charming historic location. The unit we stayed in was beautifully decorated, transporting us back in time to the 40's and early 50's. We loved learning about General Ogden and exploring the nearby trails and beach. The proximity to the parade ground was a bonus for entertaining the kids. This was our best experience in Port Townsend yet. Lastly, being able to stay on base was a special treat for my wife and I, as it reminded us of our first date watching 'An Officer and a Gentleman'. Located within a state park with beautiful surroundings. Accommodations are in converted military quarters, some of which are more updated than others. The units are spacious and clean with basic amenities. The kitchen is well-equipped and the dining area is suitable for a sit-down meal. The grounds have walking trails and easy access to the beach.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Comfortable beds and couches. Free activities for kids. Beautiful beach area. Will definitely return.

My stay at this place was mind-blowing! The house we stayed in was comfortable, clean, and well-stocked with cookware/ kitchen utensils. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, with hiking trails and a stunning water view. The on-site cafe served a jaw-droppingly delicious French toast breakfast. The nearby Marine Science centre was fascinating, with enthusiastic volunteers eager to share their knowledge. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay!

The location was fantastic, with beautiful coastal views and a quiet atmosphere. the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, providing excellent service. We also loved the eclectic and quaint furnishings in our rented house, adding to the unique experience.

There were a couple of negative aspects. the mattresses were uncomfortable and could use an upgrade.

The front porch is great. The bed is comfortable. The closet is large. The location is convenient. The check-in procedures are good. The beach is an easy walk. The officers’ housing has a turn of the century feel. The grounds have plenty of walking trails. The house we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The site is interesting and attractive. The cafe at the commons serves tasty french toast breakfast. The Port Townsend Marine Science centre is very interesting. The walking trails and rolling grounds to the beach are well-kept. The Steward's villa has character and vintage furnishings. The views are magnificent. The Fort Worden experience is perfect for military history, nature, education, walking, hiking.

Comfortable 120yr old military homes with large rooms, perfect for budget travelers with additional bedding. Lovely views and walking distance to the beach. Coffee and tea provided, a nice bonus. Friendly host for keys and prompt facilities response to issues. Option to stay for just one night, making it affordable for shorter stays.

Felt safe and secure, no reason to complain.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and welcoming. They provided us with plenty of towels and linen, which was a great convenience. the location of the hotel was also fantastic, with nearby walking trails and a beach that offered magnificent views.

The thin walls made it easy to hear conversations from neighboring rooms, which was not ideal. Additionally, the price seemed a bit steep for what we received, especially considering the antiquated furnishings and lack of modern amenities.

The hotel facilities were excellent, featuring a well-appointed kitchen with all the necessary supplies for cooking and eating, a full-size fridge, and an oven. The layout of the house was perfect, with comfortable bedrooms and both a tub and a shower in the bathroom. The staff was incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. They even arranged for me to check in after hours due to a late ferry arrival. Breakfast at the cafe was a delightful surprise, with tasty options like French toast. this hotel provided everything I needed and wanted for a fantastic stay.

I stayed at a unique place near Port Townsend with lots of history. The setting was absolutely beautiful, and it was great being on an old fort site. The grounds were well-maintained, and the employees at the check-in desk were friendly and helpful. The house itself was unique and nicely furnished, and I especially loved the large kitchen with lots of windows. It reminded me of my Grandmother's kitchen, which was a lovely touch.

We had a fantastic time exploring the historic grounds and staying in the charming house at Fort Worden. The vintage claw foot tub in Alexander's castle was a delightful touch, and the renovated kitchen, dining, and living areas were modern and comfortable. The upgraded bed with cozy bedding allowed for a great night's sleep. The seaviews were breathtaking, and the state park location was perfect. The onsite cafe served delicious breakfast at a reasonable price. The wifi was reliable throughout our stay.

We had a great stay at Fort Worden in the charming old military base. the caretaker's house we stayed in was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy dining room. the location was stunning, with beautiful views of Mt Baker and the Straits. We loved exploring the base and taking walks on the beach. it was a unique and enjoyable experience.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a re-purposed former military base that offered a unique vacation experience. The accommodation I stayed in was a spacious two-story former corporal's residence. The bedrooms on the top floor were comfortable and clean, while the sitting room and kitchen/dining room on the first floor provided ample space for relaxation and cooking. The entire accommodation was immaculate and well-maintained.

Although the cell phone coverage and WiFi were not the strongest, this was actually a blessing in disguise as it encouraged me to disconnect from technology and fully immerse myself in the nature and tranquility of the surroundings. The check-in process was also seamless and professional, adding to the overall positive experience.
