As a frequent solo traveler, I was pleased to find The Herbert Hotel. It had a charming, 1930s vibe that made me feel right at home. The lack of a TV in the room was actually a welcome change, allowing me to fully enjoy the company of other guests in the comfortable common room. The friendly hostess and the opportunity to socialize with fellow travelers added to the family-like atmosphere. The hotel's rustic charm, spacious rooms, and interesting history all contributed to a truly unique and enjoyable stay. I will definitely be returning.

The old and quaint place has character. Easy to find with pleasant staff. Decor and antiquity are priceless. Nice additions of bar and pool table. Good detour from usual ski outings. Quirky but great. No regrets choosing this over other options. Comfy lobby, great bar. Clean and comfortable room with solid walls. Unique kick-down door holders. Would stay again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the nostalgic atmosphere at Somewhere in Time. The cool old artifacts and historic charm of the hotel made for a unique experience. The owner took great care of us, promptly addressing any issues that arose, including a WiFi problem. We also appreciated the warm welcome to our furry friend, Abram. we had a great stay and would definitely consider coming back. I highly recommend this hotel.

I loved the character and history of this hotel! The antiques and old photos gave it a unique charm. The staff was awesome and the keeper was a great source of historical knowledge. Close to Sugarloaf with ski lockers on the main floor for overnight equipment storage. As a light sleeper, I had no trouble sleeping here.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a huge and sparkling bathroom. The towels were soft and absorbent. The staff, especially Dawn the manager, were kind and helpful. The location was great, with a cozy restaurant just across the street.

My partner and I recently stayed at a charming heritage hotel and had a comfortable and restful sleep. The huge room was clean and very comfortable, with the early 20th-century decoration style adding to its charm. Although there was no breakfast available at the hotel, the owner kindly gave us directions to a fantastic local spot. We were slightly disappointed that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but overall, we had a great stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Additionally, having a pub available for lite fare on select nights was a great convenience.

Although the cons were minor and didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the stay, there were a few small issues. it would have been nice to have a waste basket in the room.

If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend requesting a room away from the street, as the noise from the main road can be disruptive. Additionally, I had some issues with the pet, friendly policy of the hotel, as the manager seemed unwelcoming and concerned about the noise my dog might create.

The room had a tub, although I couldn't find a plug for it, and the shower had a strong water stream. The hotel itself was old and had a lot of character. It was easy to find and the staff was pleasant.
