During my recent stay at Holiday Inn Express, I experienced a power outage, but I was impressed by how quickly the generator kicked in to provide emergency lights. However, I was disappointed that there was no air conditioning for several hours. I inquired about this and was told that the generator was only for emergency lights. It would be better if the emergency lights were on battery operation and if the generator supported the air conditioning as well. Despite this inconvenience, the room was clean and as described, and I appreciated the comfortable bed. The staff showed great knowledge in evacuation policies when the fire alarm went off early in the morning. I would recommend this hotel as the positives outweigh the negatives.
