We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Shelbyville for our weekend getaway. The location was perfect, situated between two beautiful lakes and near the Solato Wildlife Sanctuary. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's ongoing renovations and the friendly staff who offered us a free upgrade to a suite when we had a minor issue with the air conditioner. The breakfast selection was great and the Wi-Fi connection was the best we've experienced. We also enjoyed the outdoor pool. a fantastic stay and we will definitely be returning!

We loved the bacon on the breakfast menu and the friendly staff. The new shampoo/conditioner/shower gel containers in the showers were a great addition. The room was comfortable and spacious, making our stay enjoyable. The bed mattress and pillows were also very comfortable. The location was convenient for both overnight travelers and those staying longer.

Breakfast delights could have been improved with more options for coffee, as I had a bit of a hard time getting a cup when I arrived late at night. Additionally, there was a slightly concerning incident with police presence on the property, but the staff assured us it was a common occurrence.
