Excellent staff and convenient location

The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly, making our stay very pleasant. the convenient location near shops, restaurants, and public transit, especially the Red Line station, made exploring the city easy. One downside was the inconvenience of the elevator and the distant parking garage for those with luggage.

The helpful door persons provided great suggestions for local attractions. Room exceeded expectations with an awesome view, attentive staff, and quick elevator service. However, a small room size and less welcoming reception staff were low points. Overall, an enjoyable stay at a convenient location with a quiet pool and decent breakfast offerings.

From the valets to the front desk staff and housekeeping, everyone was unfailingly friendly and helpful. Julie, who handled the daily breakfast buffet, was super friendly, helpful, and informative. the continental breakfast was well attended to and delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. the location of the hotel is very good, just off Michigan Avenue and walkable to many restaurants and attractions in the area.

One aspect that could be improved is the cleanliness of the rooms. There were some issues with the pull-out mattress and the bedding having a strange smell.

The evening social event on Wednesdays at the hotel was a delightful surprise. The complimentary light meal and beverages made us feel like royalty at a grand banquet. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring the city, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home.

Elevator wait times can be long.

The suite's kitchenette was handy for leftovers. The staff was accommodating, offering an early check-in. The pool and complimentary meals were enjoyable, enhancing relaxation. Being close to landmarks like The Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier facilitated family bonding.

The room at Homewood Suites was insanely cheap, considering the prime downtown location. It was comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped with a full kitchen, making it perfect for an extended stay. The hotel's art galleries provided a unique and culturally enriching experience right within the property.

The pool needs some renovation as it looks quite old, and it seems that few guests use it. The hotel's proximity to the Wrigley Building and the Shops at Northbridge made up for this minor inconvenience, though.

The location of the fitness center allowed me to take in the beautiful Chicago skyline while staying on top of my exercise regimen.

The standout feature of this hotel was definitely the attentive and helpful staff, particularly Nisha and Jessica at the front desk.

The stunning Chicago Riverwalk was a great spot for a family stroll, offering breathtaking views of the city and plenty of photo opportunities.

In my wife's opinion, an additional play area for kids would have been a great addition for families with children.
